Did you know that the best, first food for babies is avocado? That’s right! You can ditch the rice cereal or pablum and give your kids whole food from the get-go once they show signs of readiness at around 6 months of age.
Feeding yourself and your little ones healthy fats is critical for optimal brain health, and too many of us are missing this piece to the mental health puzzle! Our brains are made up of mainly FAT and so our brains need the highest quality fats, and need to be spared the bad fats (trans fats). We also need antioxidants to help our brains effectively detox from all the oxidative stress in our environments.
I have the perfect recipe for you!
- 2 tbsp raw cacao or cocoa powder,
- 2 tbsp Chocolate Complete
- 2 tbsp Coconut Sugar
- 1 tbsp coconut manna
- splash of coconut milk
- 2 small avocados or 1 large
Make sure you add the powders first and end with the avocado, to avoid to much powder exploding up in your face! Blend with a hand blender OR use your regular blender. I prefer the hand mixer for easier clean up.
